Care & repairs
Break it in. We will fix it.
Wear it hard — that is the point. If a seam we sewed gives way, that is our problem, not yours, however long ago you bought it.
What is covered
- Any seam, hem or stitch that has come apart.
- Buttons, rivets and zips that have failed or fallen off.
- Pocket bags that have worn through.
- Re-waxing on any waxed cotton outerwear, once a year.
There is no time limit and no receipt required — the style code inside the collar tells us what it is and roughly when we cut it.
What we charge for
- Damage from wear and tear rather than construction — a tear from catching it on something, for instance.
- Alterations such as shortening a sleeve or taking in a waist.
- Repairs to garments we did not make. We will still do them where we can; we just charge at cost.
Chargeable repairs are quoted before we touch anything, and the quote is what you pay. Most come in between ₹300 and ₹900.
How it works
- Email a photo of the problem with your order number if you have it.
- We reply with a prepaid label — within India, we cover the postage both ways on covered repairs.
- The repair desk turns most jobs around in seven to ten working days.
- We photograph the repair and send it to you before it goes back in the post.
Looking after it yourself
- Wash less than you think you need to. Airing usually does the job.
- Cold water and a line in the shade will double the life of most things here.
- Brush wool after wearing rather than washing it.
- Store knitwear folded, never on a hanger — the shoulders will stretch.
